The Romani People
The Romani people have a fascinating culture of music, clothing, and style that dates back to the fall of the Roman Empire. Referred to as Travellers, these people are known for being constantly on the move, and by the late 19th century the Romani people had spread across the world. By the late 1800s, the Romani people could be found in America, with small pockets found between Virginia and Louisiana.

The Khalkhas
One of the largest groups of people in Mongolia are the Khalkhas, whose language is the official spoken word of the country. While most of Mongolia speaks Khalka, they were actually seen as a nomadic people until they were trained by Genghis Khan to be more focused. It would be too simplistic to describe them as a purely warlike people, they were also incredible at herding livestock. By the 1990s, the Khalka people were much more urban and modern than their ancestors.

Breaking the Speed of Sound
Breaking any world record is awesome, but imagine breaking the speed of sound while skydiving. That sounds absolutely nuts. In 2012, Felix Baumgartner jumped from a balloon 24 miles high in the air over New Mexico and over the course of 10 minutes he hit a top speed of 833.9mph. Following the jump he told BBC, “Let me tell you – when I was standing there on top of the world, you become so humble. You don’t think about breaking records anymore, you don’t think about gaining scientific data – the only thing that you want is to come back alive.”
